New job, new life
New job, new country and new life
Recently, I've relocated to Germany and will be starting a new job with heycar. It has been quite a journey to be honest. I'm pretty excited to start working at heycar. My first impression when I first visited the new office it's quite good people and engineering culture.
Heycar
Heycar is a two-sided marketplace for used cars serving customers mainly in Germany and UK. It's backed by Volkswagen Financial services and well funded from other partners I think.
Berlin the technology hub
Well, it's about Berlin as well. Berlin is one of Europe's hottest technology hubs! A new startup is born almost every 20 minutes in Berlin, according to German business advisory firm, Gründen. The startups smell is in the air, it could be a good opportunity in the future if I thought about starting one again.
Starting over
The beauty of starting over and moving to a new place is what I feel right now. I can't say that I'm not afraid of the outcome. However, as a Muslim I believe in destiny; that all things good or bad are from Allah and I accept that.
From Quran, Surat An-Nisaa (4:78)
Death will come to you wherever you may be, even if you were in strong fortresses; if some good reaches them they say, “This is from Allah”; and if any misfortune reaches them, they say, “This is from you”; say, “Everything is from Allah”; what is wrong with these people, that they do not seem to understand anything?
What's next
That was a quick thought that I wanted to share. Perhaps I write more in the future about live in berlin and work environment at heycar.
